The greater part of the world is unable to see the Norther Lights.
However, we can see that and want to share this phenomenon with you.
On February 18th 2011 we have some photographs from the Northern Lights put on our blog.
Now can you see a video of the Northern Lights.
The video was made in Tromsø, Norway.

This video was on November 24th 2010 "Astronomy Picture of the Day" on the website of NASA, they find that you must watch this video from North Norway.

Wij echter kunnen het wel zien en willen dit fenomeen met jullie delen.
Op 18 februari 2011 hebben we een aantal foto's van het Noorderlicht op onze blog gezet.
Nu kun je een video zien van het Noorderlicht.
De video is gemaakt in Tromsø, Noorwegen.

Deze video werd op 24 november 2010 "Astronomy Picture of the Day" op de website van NASA, zij vinden dat je eens naar deze video van Noord Noorwegen moet kijken.

The Polar Night has ended, the Sun is rising like Autumn Jade

Today January 5 at noon, the Polar Night has ended,

the sun is rising again with a ray above the horizon.

You can take out the bikini from the closet,

but we still wait here until the snow is gone.

Vandaag, 5 januari, om 12.00 uur in de middag is de Poolnacht geëindigd,

de zon komt weer met een lichtstraal boven de horizon uit.

Je kan de bikini uit de kast halen,

al moeten we toch nog even wachten totdat hier de sneeuw weg is.

Polar Night

This afternoon, december 7, we had the last sunset at 12 o'clock, 

the Polar Night has began.

This continues until january 5,
then the sun rises again over the horizon.

Vanmiddag, 7 december, om 12.00 uur hebben we de laatste zonsondergang gehad,

de Poolnacht is begonnen.

Deze duurt tot 5 januari,
dan komt de zon weer boven de horizon uit.

Natural Phenomenon

This picture is taken in the immediate surroundings of Bergen in Norway.

There are several theories about the origin of this natural phenomenon.
One possibility is that the water trough a hole is extruded,
the water continues to seep out,
so the water keeps freezing.

Deze foto is genomen in de omgeving van Bergen in Noorwegen.

Er zijn meerdere theorieën over het ontstaan van dit natuurverschijnsel.
Een mogelijkheid is, dat het water door een gaatje naar buiten wordt geperst,
het water blijft naar buiten sijpelen,
waardoor het water blijft aanvriezen.
